Boomer's personality just never ceases to impress us and our friends/visitors. She is an extremely happy Akita who weighs 95.5 pounds. Her demeanor is that of a lab yet on the outside she is the pure premium Akita. Her head is larger and wider than most females who sometimes have a smaller head than say the average male. She is thick and a heavy boned girl. Her stance is excellent and her conformation superb. Boomer loves her exercise which includes a full loose run on our 30 acres. Nothing is more majestic than to witness an Akita in full gear running like a gazelle. It's simply awesome.

Her parents are stunning and from the North Michigan area. The Sire weighs 130 and the Dam is almost as large weighing 115.

SURPRISE!!

BOOMER HAS SURPRISE LITTER - May 11, 2008!!

We thought the breeding between King Kori and Boomer did not take - but it apparently did. Boomer, with little to no pregnancy signs surprised us with a litter of two! Sunday morning we discovered two beautiful pups in Boomer's bed. Today, they are doing very well and Mom, Boomer - is loving every minute of motherhood!! Ahhhh.

We are considering keeping the female which is the dark brown with a black overlay. She will look just like her Mom. The big pinto male - looking just like King Kori himself - will be placed on the market next week!! Here is a picture taken on day two. More pics to arrive soon!!
